Jah Wobble and Bill Sharpe

Jah Wobble & Bill Sharpe - Kingdom of Fitzrovia

The name 'Kingdom of Fitzrovia' came from the area in London where the album was recorded. It is just off Oxford Street near the famous BT (post office) tower. There is some really wonderful victorian architechture in the area so I spent the day shooting around the back streets on the way to take shots of Jah Wobble and Bill Sharpe. The resulting cover design was a photoshop montage taking the my shots of the area and building the 'Kingdom'. The shots of the artists were in the reception of Storyville Records, which wasn't the most visually interesting space so I cropped the pair tight and used the reflection in the piano. I shot an impromtu video before I left London for a track called rush hour, I just left my camera on the pavement to capture the hustle and bustle of London.
